    Medicals

Yesterday (13th November) we all set off to Sheffield for our medicals. We took 2 cars to get us all there leaving Gainsborough at 09.30. We arrived in Sheffield with a good half hour to spare before the booked x-rays at 11.00 in Claremont Hospital, Sandygate Road. Unfortunately the directions that we downloaded from the internet were in a word incorrect. Angry We arrived late but the staff were brilliant and put up with being invaded by the tribe. We left there later than planned so had to put back any food intake until after the medicals which were in the Duke Medical Centre a mere 13 minutes away again according to our internet directions. It took us around about an hour but again the staff were fabby and got us through quicker than I would have imaged and we were in McDonalds by 4.30.
Sophie was unable/unwilling to produce a urine sample but big sister Sarah did manage to get her to produce a very small dribble. Tracey took the 'sample' back to Dukes and showed them, using her children nurse skills, how to test a dribble using a syringe and needle.Open-mouthed
We then sat in traffic for hours to get out of Sheffield arriving home about 19.00. After a drink and food break I set off with Sarah and Steven to take them back home to Corby and arrived back in Gainsborough just before midnight.Sleepy
It was a long day for everyone and the young ones were really good. Methinks a trip to Toys 'r' us has been earned by them all. Wink
All the x-rays were normal as were all the performed checks. The only thing we are waiting on are the blood tests which should take a week to ten days to come back from the lab.

Oh and if we ever see Sheffield again it'll be too soon. Baring teeth
